Kyra was walking along when she got a scent, a scent of life. One being a male, but it was stale. So she figured she would be fine. Smelling the ground she could tell that this wasn't just part of the forest it was a territory. Her stomach rumbled and she sighed. She knew better then to A. come onto someones grounds and B she knew better not to hunt on someones lands. Feeling how tired and how hungry she was she sighed 'I might as well' Kyra thought to her lonesome self. She licked her paw and started to groom her silky snow white fur. She wasn't sure whom was going to come when she howled and she wanted to be presentable. Licking her tail she she started to think about what she was going to say or what she was even going to do. What if some huge muscular Male came and stood before her his teeth bared. She gulped hard. And her stomach protested. But she couldn't help but to wonder what was going to happen when she howled into this un-known territory. She took a deep breath taking in all the smells and listening to the bird song to calm her always wondering mind. She Stood up just about to howl when something caught her eye... 'Great' she thought as a weasel walked along the ground a few fox lengths away. The the creatures scent hit her and her nostrils flared. 'Why!'Kyra let out a small bark to scare the creature away. It worked thank god. Then it hit her 'Damn it! I should have gave that to whom ever came to see me at their border, as an offering.' Then realization hit her. 'It is their land... Ugh. I am so rusty on my alpha ness, that I no longer am.' She licked her side as it still had some dirt on it. If a she-wolf could have OCD about being presentable in front of new people Kyra had it, or maybe it was just her sense of respect for others. Something that you would have figured she had lost when she lost her family. But you would also think she would stop caring after seeing the stuff she has seem and been through in her past. After she was finally done grooming herself she shook herself off to get her fur to be nice and plush for whom ever that came to see her at the border. She licked her noes getting it wet. Then she felt the stinging from her wound. She whimpered a little and shook her head trying to get the feeling to go away. Once it did she stretched her legs just in case she had to run or fight which ever part came first. Sitting down but not getting to comfy just in case. Because you never know what will happen when you step onto strange lands. Curling her tail around her feet she put her muzzle to the air forgetting about her infected noes and let out a soft and gentle howl. Than sat waiting for a reply of some sort

When you're ready, come and get it...
A beast stalked through the marked lands, amber hues focused entirely on the signs of nature, each sense on high alert and used to the highest precision. Though the male's task was simply lining the border, to him he held a much greater importance. Loners whom dared to show themselves were seeking something, something solitude could not provide, each with a different desire, and it was the Beta's job to deem both their sought out dream and capabilities fit for the pack. Few had failed the task, another handful had passed; would the next have fortune upon them? Cackling deeply, Fell wondered if he were in the mood for another loner and, in the end, the decision was a firm yes, for he was a wolf of business and would never allow personal persuasion to flaw his duties. A soft grumble escaped his maw as Fell suddenly thought of the possibility of these "loners" really being working for Bantu in secret; for Fell did not doubt the male's capability and mischievous ways, but Fell tried to abandon the thought, not wanting to spoil his mood.
Over-sized ebony paws collapsed into the fresh soil, nostrils flared to access what scents lie around him. Amber hues followed his nose, taking in different information but just as important. Letting out a brisk sigh, the Beta was becoming agitated with waiting. Perhaps there were no loners on this day? As the mind wondered, fast paced scampering brought the host back to reality, a weasel flashing by with haste, fear a lit in its eyes. Watching the creature disperse from eyesight, the male had already left his position, heading the way it came. What the weasel fled from, Fell ran towards, for it was what he was looking for and what needed taken care of. "Let this be over with."
Amongst the darker tones, the snow white wolf, whom had just howled mere moments ago, brightly contrasted the forest she lie waiting in. Just like he did the others, Fell made sure to evaluate her size and potential abilities before making his presence known. He took note of she looked, overall, calm, though clearly nervous and appeared freshly groomed. The Beta stepped out after these few evaluations, satisfied with what he'd gathered without speaking with her. Without warning, the deep rumble of masculinity broke the silence, some near by birds fleeing, had they not already noticed his presence earlier, frightened by the sudden sound, "Salutations, would be the proper greeting for a loner; but are you a loner she-wolf or one of Bantu's forces? Dare you be the latter, I shall swipe that maw of yours where you stand and bruise it further than it already is, if not, then speak your name and let us get down to business, I am not a wolf to dally precious minutes. While I await your name, if it comforts you, you may know my own. I am Fell, Beta of this realm, and, for now, I am the one whom will be accessing your for acceptance. Does this sound antiquate?"
You ain't gotta worry, it's an open invitation...

Kyra's nostrils flared, the scent of the male was no longer stale but as fresh as the dew on the morning leaves. The scent was coming closer and she knew that meant so was he. Gulping her pol-ups an her other lower part of her female body clenched. Kyra wouldn't admit it to anyone else besides herself that she was mortified, even more then the weasel that took of in a sprint from her small yip. But although she was terrified she she kept her expression calm and focused on the task at hand. That is when the multiple color he-wolf came into view. The hair an the back of her neck stood straight up at once, and her mouth went dryer then a summers drought. He was much much larger than she was. But not only was he large in size but he was very muscular. Kyra looked him up and down trying to figure out when she would have to run if this male decided to attack her for being an alone helpless she-wolf. Although she was small and very fast she knew she was no match for this he-wolf that stood a fox length or two from where her on body sat. Bile started to rise in her throat from the thought of what her may do to her if he got a hold of her. Closing her ice blue eyes she had to clear her mind making sure that she kept her expression calm even if her body was trembling under her snow white freshly groomed pelt. Noticing that the male had spoken to her, she looked up at him for once noticing that he was a bit older then herself and that he was quite the looker. He said that was the Beta of this pack and that his name was Fell. But he frightened me with what seem as if it was a threat. Which made her a bit sad because he was to handsome to be mean in her opinion. That's when she flicked the tip of her tail as if to flick the thought out of her mind for a couple of different reasons. A: He could never find her cute especially with the infection that is going over her muzzle that will turn into a deep scar over her muzzle. B: He was an older he-wolf. C: Even though Alpha blood coursed through her veins he was a high rank himself. D: He was still scarier than hell to her! Regaining her beautiful cal yet soft sing-song voice that she got from her mother, she spoke in a soft whisper, "I am a loner and I have never even heard of Bantu. My name is Kyra" (The y sounds like a long i) Her stomach growled loudly in complaint from having not been fed in a while only cause she was afraid of two things one hunting on a packs land and two the rogue pack that had made and agreement with her father Alpha Apache would brake their promise and come after Kyra to make sure that she was dead so she could not mother any children keeping her Alpha blood line going. Louder then first Kyra's stomach growled again this time sending a sharp pain through her stomach and Kyra knew with how loud it had been that the Beta had heard the sound of hunger. Embarrassed and ashamed she clenched her jaw sighing out her noes. Looking up at him again she was glad that he seemed to be in a good mood. "I wish to become part of you pack as an apprentice," the wind taking her words as if the wind owned them. "I would like to be a Beta apprentice. If it helps decide whether or not I get the apprentice ship I would like you to know that in the pack that I have came from I was going to be the next Alphaness when my father Alpha Apache decided to stand down from his own high rank as Alpha. I am... was the oldest of my two siblings. They where both she-wolves like myself. They are..." she sighed, "Where a year younger than myself." (Sorry I couldn't figure out to color the text)

I'll be sittin' right here...
With the Beta's presence, tension only rose between the duo,the she-wolf's fear completely visible though quickly cloaked within minutes of her realizing. Did his large stature startle her to such an extent? No sympathy was felt in those brief moments, for the brute always believed someone should be prepared to meet any sized wolf, it was an unavoidable fate, and should never judge upon the host's size to begin with; petite wolves could just be just as equal tyrants. Assessing her reaction, Fell could feel she found him rude but her opinion in that moment mattered little, and he simply decided to await her response in mere silence. And soon it came, delivered in a gentle whisper.
Fell's muzzle remained shut as the stranger denied any ties with Bantu, a simple nod of his ebony head sufficing in letting Kyra know she'd been listened to. Waiting for more words, a deep rumble flew into the crooked ears of the Beta, a narrowed gaze falling upon the ivory coat. Either Kyra was a flawed hunter during her travels and had not yet eaten or she upheld respect, even if it meant starving, and dared not to hunt upon marked lands. Whichever it was, her hunger would be silenced soon, should their interaction go well. 'Apprentice?' The Beta had expected more from the newcomer, a higher demand, but saw she had already decided a fitting ranking. When Kyra finished speaking, a long moment of silence settled amongst them until the Beta finally had his response in tact, "You past tense, were, suggests your siblings are no more and my condolences for your loss. Now, to your apprenticeship. You shall be granted this ranking if you can tell me skills worth the time, for if you wish to be mentored by a Beta you must realize this is mentor will be me and no other. Under my teaching, you will learn either the ways of a fighter or hunter, you may decide, to which rank you shall be promoted to in the future if you do indeed pass; not a Beta. Your Alpha blood is, I will say, somewhat impressive but will not define your future ranking amongst us. I am of no Beta or Alpha lineage, instead my title was given for my abilities. Back at the matter at hand - tell me of your skills in more detail and confess if you'll be able to handle me as your mentor or not, I shall not suffer a trembling babe whom is too frightened to head my teachings." The brute's tone remained the usual serious tone, not trying to frighten the dear thing but instead be truthful in his views and in what was to come. Fell would wait as long as she needed for he was in no hurry, his hind legs sliding to a sitting position, amber hues which seemed to hold small fires of Hell reflecting upon her as the time passed.
Real patient...

"Thank you," Kyra said nodding her head. "I lost them when our camps was breached by rogues," her voice still soft but calm as she spoke. "I would appreciate to be a fighter as I feel that I could be of great help. I know that I am rather small but I have my own perks to that. I am fast making it easy to get away and be on top, and with my speed I have great agility. With the the to mixed as one I am great at a fight. But with the two I could also be a good hunter so in which I will let you be the one to decide. My sense of smell is excellent." She took one shallow breath and looked up at Beta Fell. "Your Alpha was around here not to long ago from the smell that I am getting, also there is a rabbit not even two fox lengths away and the weasel, that I had scared away on impulse because I wasn't going to kill or eat it, is about five or so fox lengths away give or take," Kyra took a breath trying to gather all her thoughts so she didn't sound like a ditz. "My sense have smell has also saved my own live from being killed by enemy rogues." Kyra locked her noes to moisten it but when her tongue hit her noes it stung from the infection that ran a crossed her noes/muzzle. Although it stung Kyra kept her face calm trying not to seem as weak as she already has. "I have very heightened hearing I can her things from almost ten foxes away. It used to bug my ma and pa so very much when I would over hear things they didn't want me to hear, not because I was a snoop but because of my hearing," Kyra thought it might make this a little easier on the both of them if she add some things so he would get a feel for her if indeed she became his apprentice. "I also have a sense of what others wolves are feeling and/or what they might do." Kyra cleared her throat gently as she had a bit of a tickle in her trachea. "You one the other hand just seem happy and very formal," Kyra said seriously hoping that what she had just said didn't offend him in anyway. Gulping she looked to the ground, "As for my blood line I wasn't meaning it as in I should get privileges or be privileged it's just that letting you know that makes you aware that I am aware of what you would be having me do. I will be terrifyingly honest with you Beta Fell, yes I am scared of you I have great reason and it's not just you so please don't think I am trying to single you out, it is all males that are much larger than myself. I realized you would be my mentor when you said that you where the Beta and with your scent I am aware that you are without a mate which means that there is no female Beta in this pack. But even though I may be scared I will listen most defiantly and because I am scared of you is the reason why I would appreciate it if you where the one to mentor me because I want to get over my fear of large males," her words even softer now as she was remembering what had happened to her a few moons ago. It made her sad and feel as if she was weak, but she wanted to get over this and how else to get over this if not with a giant muscular male as her mentor. (Ugh on my computer there is no tool bar so how do you use the BB codes)

All day, all night...
After Kyra finished her speaking, the Beta again took a moment to himself so he would be entirely sure of his reply. What would become of her future, his future? Fell never had nor considered an apprentice, although the duty was sure to come along at some point, and was wary if he was capable of teaching a young wolf. Despite his lack of mentoring experience, there truly was no other choice but to accept her as his apprentice. Having, finally, made up his decision the male's masculine tone became the center of attention, as it was meant to be, "Again, my condolences on your family. Fighter it will be then. Your skills deem worthy under my observation, you need naught to further explain or give examples. Though you are correct, my Alpha was in these parts as she is always patrolling the border, as do I. Also, I am aware of the weasel you startled, along with your scent, he was a big indication of your presence to begin with." Kyra's excelled hearing was noted in the back of Fell's mind, for further usage and warning, and he found it somewhat comical. Her poor parents, never able to really whisper anything in private without fear of the young pup hearing. How aggravating that must have been. Her supposed sense of others' feeling and her view on his own sent a confused expression on his features. "Sorry, but I would not call it happy. Content perhaps. I am neither aggravated nor exited. But formal would be a considerable description; strict, solemn, exact would do as well. But I cannot truly overview myself, it would be slightly biased." Releasing a deep chuckle, he continued, "I did not mean to insult your lineage nor come across so brisk, merely making a statement was all. And this fear of me will have to do I suppose, hopefully you will conquer it in time for I am not shrinking." The mention of the Beta being mate-less earned a slightly narrowed gaze, a grunt of agreement being her only reply. Yes, it was entirely true, the male was without a mate and such would be for a long time to come. Should Fell ever need to continue the lineage, he would choose by genes and nothing else. A harsh but indubitable, realistic decision.
"Let's get this over with then. You, Kyra, are now the Beta's, my, apprentice. By being so, you swear loyalty to my pack - until death do you part from your oath. Can you handle what I expect of you, Kyra? To protect the pack with full capability, with all your abilities, and provide for each member with your each breathe until you have your last breath. I am not an expert of these given oaths but, being from a Alpha lineage you should know exactly what I expect of you. I will handle no slackers under my watch, understand - Apprentice Kyra?"
I'll be waitin' standby...

Kyra listened carefully to everything he spoke. When he said he wasn't happy she noticed that she was to busy being afraid of him to say what she meant. She meant to say that he looked content on this fine day it is. Kyra understood fulling what he was trying to say when he was talking about her lineage. Her thoughts where just to make it known that she understood but she just made it worse... in away. Kyra couldn't help to think that it was shocking that he had agreed to Mentor her. Especially since he said that he wasn't going to mentor a trembling babe not that she was complaining that she did she just found it most surprising. She moved to a standing position her legs cramping on her. As soon as she got the cramp out she sat back down not wanting to seem like she was trying to start a fight or seem so impelled to walk into the territory. Kyra wouldn't step onto the territory on till her mentor Beta Fell gave her permission to. In her stand point she was never told she was aloud to be on the territory. Along with that she had never agreed to the terms in progress not like she was going to she just was thinking about how to say it seeing as how there is many ways to give yourself to a pack. Some People have fights and whether or not you live the fight is whether or not you are aloud in others just have to make an oath. "I kyra now your apprentice I swear to give my live and soul to this pack. Whether through thick or thin I shall always stand by the side of my new pack. I shall give this pack my full attention. I shall not eat till everyone else in the pack has eaten, I shall not sleep knowing that this pack may or could be in danger. I will give this pack all of me and nothing less then all. I shall not stop until the day I draw my last breath. " Her tone calm and serous other wolf found it hard that she was two years of age. Saying what she did her ice blue gaze never wavered from his letting her eyes show that she was speaking nothing but the truth! That she would do anything for this pack even if that meant she had to sacrifice her own. Her death would not be in vain but her own pride for standing tall when her pack needed her the most whether they knew it or not. Kyra knew that her skills would come in handy sooner then later she knew that because was to be a fighter not a hunter. So even in practice she would have to use her skills. Looking at the floor she sighed she meant everything she said down the the last letter of what she had said but it bugged her that she was going to be scared of her Beta for a little while. It bugged her for the fact it made her feel more than weak, no it made her feel pathetic. Although she had what she called a reason for fearing large males it still made her feel like she was weaker than the rest. These thoughts never got in her way of performance rather in hunting or in a fight. Looking back up at her Beta/mentor her gaze serous. "Please help me conquer this fear that I have. A fear I have had since..." Kyra looked down and cleared her thought, "Since I was rapped"

All day, all night...
While his new apprentice seemed to dwell in useless thoughts, she suddenly sat down, her face expressing her exhausted. Slowly his head nodded upwards, signalling that he wanted her to stand though he wished not to waste the verbal effort to command her. Then, head still pointed to the sky, the mighty brute inclined his heato the side, no longer wanting the apprentice off pack lands. She'd given a firm oath, now it was time for her to cross the invisible line of faith. Although her words had been delivered firmly, eyes a lit with truth, Fell still held doubt but abandoned his worries, knowing it was simply being overly cautious. The enormous, raven stature towered above her as it left the imprinted ground, tired of resting, eyes heavily upon her as she delivered her next statement. Dare the female say she was raped? A vicious snarl left him before Fell regained his composure, voice laced with disgust, "We will conquer the fear easily together. But you proclaim your were raped and this is where your fear originated? This sickens me to the core. Should the accuser ever step upon our pack lands, I assure you, Kyra, he will suffer a merciless death. I've had my experience with rapist before, they too have tarnished my family and left deep wounds, and will not allow such a crime to go unpunished. Now, before I become too furious with my resolve and feel the need to avenge you, and others whom have had their purity taken from them, let us go. You, Apprentice Kyra, will begin your first lesson today - patrolling." Memories had begun to flow like a broken beaver dam throughout the caverns of his mind. Painful shrieks of Fell's younger sister echoed hauntingly as again she suffered another nightmare of her attacker. While their mother went to scold her, blaming her for the incidence in the beginning, and their father pulled the agitated, older she-wolf away, Fell could remember he and his other siblings huddling with her in a corner, no a word needed to be shared amongst them. Snarling out loud, though making sure Kyra did not take it personally, Fell spun away from the Apprentice, expecting her to follow him, as he fought his own demons. "Now that she's been raped, I believe it best we push the mating, don't you? Come, Sirius, Fell, Jay, what do you think? To restore her purity, it's best." The Delta den had been bombarded with endless arguments that night, their mother wanting to hurry and mate his sister before the truth of her rape became apparent to the pack. Looking back to Kyra, he wondered what the situation was around her raping. His black muzzle went to ask but in the end his canines remained clamped, unable to curiosity get the best of him, fearing what her answer would be. Was her mother as stubborn and solemn as his own? Fell abandoned the memories, feeling his body becoming constricted from the simple memories, and spoke again, his form quickly disappearing from the clearing. "The scent of another female lies fresh in the air, we must hurry before she either oversteps her boundaries or flees, we wish not for her to be recruited by Bantu. Hurry now, child."
Maybe I'm addicted for life, no lie..
