APPEARANCE: Stain is a massive wolf with a mostly black pelt. He has a bit of premature gray fur around his muzzle and forelegs, but in his youth he was pitch black. His ears are larger than some, enhancing his hearing quite a bit. His eyes are an odd grayish hue, but are full of expression. His legs are long and powerful, like the rest of his body. He's not too stocky, but is not lean either. Rather, he's a balance betweeen the two, which makes him a daunting opponent during a fight. He typically utilizes his strength over his speed, which is slightly lacking.
PERSONA: Stain is wise for his four years. He's a rock in a storm, not swayed very easily by anything. This quality makes him dependable and loyal, a wolf that can be trusted through the darkest of times. Despite his typical serious manner, he can, in the right setting, also be humorous and engaging. He and Equinox both have many stories to tell from their journey together. Stain is socially awkward most of the time, and doesn't do well in large groups of wolves. Due to this, he doesn't anticipate having a mate any time soon. The only thing that ever makes him lose his composure is Equinox, who can be quite a pain in the tail.
PAST: Stain and Equinox have been on the move for around a year. Their original pack, Drachma, was kind and loving, and their parents and packmates were wonderful, but neither felt like they truly belonged there. They departed from the pack, leaving behind parents, siblings, crushes, and friends in search of a more exciting lifestyle. Every time they come across a pack accepting members, they investigate, but none have sparked their interest so far. He can't speak for his brother, but Stain is feeling optimistic about this pack.

Stain rolled his gray eyes and did not slow his steady pace, annoyed at his younger brother's impatience. The two gray wolves had been on the move for close to a month now, in search of a well-organized pack that was accepting new members. The forest they were currently trekking through was void of any kind of civilization. Stain hadn't scented a wolf pack of more than three members in the whole time they'd been journeying, which was quite unusual. But onward they went, with the steadfast perseverance of a continent.
Equinox, the younger of the two, was slightly smaller in stature, and paler in color. His eyes were an inquisitive and playful sapphire blue, and his face was always full of mischief. Stain, on the other hand, was stockier and larger, with an almost pure black pelt. He carried the burdens and responsibility of the brothers, being the much more realistic and wise of the two, so his expression was typically more tranquil and intelligent.
Stain felt a nudge to his shoulder an flicked an ear, irritated.
"We're not going anywhere in particular, Nox. I don't know if we're there yet." He snapped, his patience wearing down after hours of his brother's incessant whining. Equinox darted ahead, then back again, prancing about anxiously.
"I'm so bored!" He exclaimed. Stain stopped suddenly in his tracks, his composure gone.
"Enough!" Stain demanded, his voice deep and threatening. He faced his brother and dropped into a fight stance, his eyes narrowed and tail lashing. "I've had enough of your whining and whimpering and foolishness!" Equinox's eyes widened in surprise, and he stopped moving, staring at his brother calmly.
"Have I irritated you?" He asked, tauntingly, his eyes mischievous. Stain snarled.
"Yes. Yes you have." He growled.
"I'm sorry..." Answered Equinox innocently.
"No you're not. Fight me if you dare." Retorted Stain.
"That isn't fair. You know you'll beat me." Equinox pouted.
"And you'll deserve it. Now come on!" On his last words, Stain launched himself towards his brother, another snarl ripping from his throat. Nox yelped and scrambled away, but not before Stain's teeth caught a puff of his tail fur. The larger male hacked and coughed the fur into a ball, which he spat out. Equinox sped away, using his speed against Stain in order to save himself. Stain kicked into gear, racing after the smaller and faster wolf, panting and snarling, his eyes crazed and furious.
Suddenly, Stain smelled something odd. He slowed, his expression clearing and body relaxing into an inquisitive posture. He sniffed once, twice, and pinpointed the scent. Flicking his ears around, he realized that Equinox was still racing away, yelling at the top of his lungs that he was done, he was sorry, he didn't want to fight. Stain sighed like the elder wolf he was and raised his muzzle, howling for his brother. Nox stopped, spun around, realized he was no longer being chased, and loped back with a smug look on his face.
"I knew you wouldn't hurt me." He gloated.
"Don't be too sure," Stain warned, irked once again, but then turned his attention to the forest in front of them. Nox did the same, noticing immediately what they were looking at- or rather, smelling. He glanced at his brother, eyes full of wonder.
"We found a pack." He said, amazed.

He's definitely on the skinny side, but he is by no means weak. He simply prefers to stay lean and strong, as opposed to thick, like Stain. His fur is a smooth blend of tans and blacks, as his father's is. His eyes, on the other hand, are the deepest, clearest pale blue, the kind of trusting eyes one could lose themselves in. These he inherited from his grandmother, who possessed many of the same personality traits as he does.
PERSONA: What his brother lacks in social skills, Equinox makes up for tenfold. He has a sort of natural charm that attracts other wolves without them even noticing. Unlike his brother, Nox, as he's sometimes called, has high hopes for finding a mate someday. Some of his most important qualities are his perseverance and his ambition, both of which he has possessed since birth. His Alpha in Drachma was considering appointing him as an Alpha's Apprentice before he left the pack. With some training, he could be a powerful, wise, and caring leader.

Just to be clear, though, I thought Delta was a pack rank... Both brothers intend to join the pack. I think it would be easier, though, if we discussed other open ranks in-character, so you don't have to explain them all to me and to Stain and Nox. Meh?
